For the past two days we have been in Independencia. The picture above is the view from our work site. Our project was to work on a "soup kitchen" for three women in the community. We sanded, painted, mixed concrete, helped build a deck, and had a blast. Below are pictures from our adventures. I am sure your teen will be more than happy to talk your ear off when they get home about this experience. It was really neat to be in the community and making a difference.We are now heading down for dinner, movie and ice cream party before a Peruvian box drum lesson.
