Today started off kind of rough...the entire group is sick and we headed to the hospital...where we lost 2 of the teens...and Kim ran into a pole...then Stacey decided to run off and marry a Peruvian man...and...APRIL FOOLS! Ok, so since we aren't there we had to at least try :) (but Kim really did run into a pole!)
AWESOME DAY YET AGAIN! We were back at Y Camp where we had an entire day to play in the sun. Great day of volleyball, sandcastle building, and some sand futbol (the game consisted of us Gringos, Peruvians, Columbians, and a Nigerian. Talk about universal language and fellowship!) After, we watched the sunset over the water. Paco and his staff prepared a nice dinner, cookout style. We met tons of camp staff, as they are here for the Easter break. We then had a fun campfire program and sang some fun songs with the Peruvian Y staff. Finally, in Peruvian Y Camp tradition, we concluded with a DANCE PARTY! (which is still going on as we type...) Some of the pictures we included today are of Paco and his staff, as well as our new friends from El Barrio de Indenpendia, Manuel and Hanibol. Tomorrow, we will try an Aqua Trekking trip in the morning, but it might not be possible if the ocean current is too strong. After that, we head back to Lima, pack up, and fly home. Very bittersweet! A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported us on this trip. It was a life-changing experience we will never forget...
